Last Day

Well today is the last day before I go on my 12 week leave.  Sad to say goodbye to those that I have been with for so long.  I know the Lord has got all of this in his hands but it still doesnt make goodbye's any easier.  Please pray for our family during this huge transition as well as peace for the right decision at the end.....oh and my sanity as I adjust to being a stay at home mom during this period. Doctor appt. for Kerrington

After talking to Cardiology about Kerrington's excessive sleeping (15 1/2 hours) numerous times a week, drinking, claminess, and the awful dark circles under her eyes it was decided not to rule out sugar or other possible problems.  We took her to the pediatrician yesterday.  Everything came back good (Glucose, White\Red Blood Counts, O2, Heart Rate).  We are still waiting on some more tests to come back today including BNP which will show any signs of Congestive Heart Failure.  Her heart cath is scheduled for Tuesday so we will know more then.  Prayers are welcomed!! Merry Christmas!!

I love the fact that Christmas fell on a Sunday this year.  It was wonderful to spend Christmas in church celebrating the birth of Jesus.  It just puts everything back into perspective after all the hustle and bustle of life leading up to Christmas....just doesnt seem worth it in the end.  What I do know is that I could have enjoyed the time leading up to Christmas a lot more if I would have just slowed down to take in the moments.

So thankful that most of our dear families did not spend Christmas in the hospital but got to take their precious children home for Christmas.  What a wonderful Christmas present!!

We also celebrated Ally's 13 birthday on December 22nd....how cool to have a birthday so close to Jesus's if you think about it.   So proud of Ally and the wonderful person that she has become.  I can not believe she is 13.  It is so sad to think in 5 years she will be 18 and officially an adult.  Time really does go by too fast.

From our family to yours "Merry Christmas"!!  Pics coming in the next couple of days. Bookmark and Share

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend...full of Christmas festivities.  Ally went Christmas caroling with the youth group Friday night in her (Tara's) UGLY Christmas sweater.  Saturday was the church Christmas dinner with a visit from Santa.  Kerrington was all about him, Miley not so much, and I learned that Ally would like a Castle with a 72" flat screen TV.  Kerrington must have been tuckered out because she slept for 15 1/2 hours on Sunday.  Sam and I went Christmas shopping Sunday afternoon then met up with our old Sunday School class which was so much fun to party down (yeah not really)!!  Even though I am NOT ready for Christmas just yet.....I just love love love Christmas time!! 10 Days and Counting!!

For those that do not know....I will be taking a leave of absence from AT&T starting in January.  At the end of my 12 week leave I will then decide whether I can make it at being a stay at home mom.  We are making this decision for many reasons.  Kerrington will be starting school when she starts 3 in January so we feel there will be many challenges with that.  I can also take more time to work with Kerrington on her speech and other therapy's.  On another possitive note I can be there for ALL the girls and maybe keep the house clean, laundry done, and dinner made.  It really is bitter sweet as I have been at AT&T since I was 19!!  More to come..... Kerrington's Recent Cardiology Appt.

Kerrington had her Cardiology check up this past Monday.  The news was not exactly what we wanted to hear.  Kerrington's Right Ventrical pressure had went up from 4 months ago.  Her BP was 73/55.  Recommendation was that they do a heart cath in January to see if she needs a valve replacement already.  So we wait until the results of the heart cath which has yet to be scheduled but we told them we wanted it scheduled after the holidays but before her 3rd birthday which is January 20th.  Bookmark and Share
